Abstract
Objectives: As we are in an aging society and demand of contact-less service is increasing, the necessity of reasonable service provision strategy of health and safety based Internet of Things/Artificial Intelligence (IoT/AI) home-care service for the vulnerable has been enhanced. In order to install, utilize, and maintain services, it is necessary to investigate how much customers are willing to pay for the service. This study aims to estimate willingness-to-pay (WTP) of 7 services with high priority.

Methods: WTPs were surveyed for adults aged 19 or older by asking ¡®double bounded dichotomous choice question¡¯, and average WTPs of every service were calculated using probit model.

Results: As a result, the service which had the highest average WTP per month was ¡®home crime prevention and CCTV service¡¯ with 1,902 won, and the lowest was ¡®hospital under care information service¡¯ with 1,371 won. People with higher socioeconomic level such as education and economic level answered higher WTP. WTPs of all services were between 1,300 to 2,000 won, which was similar to the market price of currently selling ICT services.

Conclusion: While WTP was high in safety or protection services, it was relatively low in information providing service. Based on the results, realistic utilization and continuous maintenance of services will be available if a reasonable service provision model, which is receptive to consumers by appropriate budgeting, is performed.
